Voluntary worldwide
Many young people are interest in honorary work in developing countries. In the past the number of suitable inquiries to the Federal Ministry of economic cooperation and development (BMZ) exceeded by far the offer. Hence, the BMZ has brought to life the new Voluntary Service promoted from public means "weltwärts".
The aims from weltwärts
„Learning by vigorous helping" is the motto of the Voluntary Service. weltwärts should promote the engagement for one world with lasting effect and gets on as a learning service, allowed young people an intercultural exchange in developing countries. Among the work with the project partners on site in the developing countries, the volunteers should learn to understand better the global dependence and interaction. The project partners should be benefiting the application for the purposes of the help to the self-help.
weltwärts should promote mutual notification, esteem and tolerance: Common work and learning knows neither racism nor exclusion. The new Voluntary Service will make an important contribution to the developing-political work of information and educational work and promote the younger generation in the developing-political occupational field.

For whom is weltwärts?
With weltwärts young people can perform a Voluntary Service in developing countries at the age of from 18 to 28 years for 6 to 24 months. They are prepared by the secondment organisation intensely on her application and are accompanied during the whole time of her voluntary service. The fields of work of the volunteers enclose the whole subject spectrum of the topical developing cooperation.

The actors with weltwärts
weltwärts is financed by the Federal Ministry of economic cooperation and development (BMZ) and is carried out by a huge number of civil-social secondment organisation in the fair dialogue with the project partners on site.

KUE gives you the possibility to work in charitable organisations, hospitals or outpatient clinics in Vietnam and to perform development aid. KUE pedagogues / responsible persons accompany on site and help. You have studied in the area foreign languages, you can support the homework care in an equipment in Vietnam.
The programme begins: from 2008, duration: To from 6 to 24 months.
Condition for a Voluntary Service in Vietnam
- you order of a secondary general school certificate /high-school diploma with concluded professional training or advanced technical college maturity or general university maturity or a Master's certificate
- Age of from 18 to 28 years and health suitability for "weltwärts"
- unlimited stay permission or German citizenship
- Interest in the cultures and the living conditions in the developing countries
- Readiness for engaged and vigorous cooperation in charitable projects in Vietnam
KUE takes over the following costs for Voluntary Service in Vietnam:
- Outbound- and return flight ticket, travel assurances, pocket money 100 EUR monthly among other things, child benefit goes on during the Voluntary Service automatically (max. up to the completion of the 25th year)
- Preparatory seminars, foreign languages-, interseminars and seminars for return
Visa application for travelling to Vietnam
Foreign visitors need to the entry to Vietnam a valid visa. Tip: The visa applications can be made at the Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin or the branch office in Frankfurt / Main. The request form is available here http://www.vietnambotschaft.org
